 the Shop Cam ...
So our hardware is dead and we need a new solution for the shop cam.
I'm thinking of buying an inexpensive laptop and then switching to either justin.tv or Ustream.
What do you all your tech folks suggest as a great shop cam solution?
I'd like to be able to stream all day and have live chat along with it. How difficult would it be to implement that on our website?

 Re: the Shop Cam ...
I think the best way would be to separate video and chat like Frogpants.com has done here: http://frogpants.com/the-frogpants-live-stream/So the video comes from Justin.tv and chat works via an embedded irc-thingy. This would make it possible for people to use the chat-part with any gadget that has an irc-client.

 Re: the Shop Cam ...
If you have an IRC client (xchat for example) you can also connect that way.
Server/Network: irc.geekshed.net Channel: #onedropyoyos
Feel free to stop in and hang out as long as you'd like.. I'm always connected and idle there. The more people that tend to hang out and stay connected even if they aren't actually there, the busier the chat will get.. people like to see that other people are there, even if they aren't paying attention at the time. Then when you do pay attention, others will be there as well.
