So I got my Code 2 from High Speed Yo Yo there picture of the yo yo I was getting looked like this-



But when I got the Yo Yo it did not look the same color it looks like this-






I know lighting effects colors in pictures, but I don't think mine looks like the advertised ones at all. Did they send me the wrong one? Did I just get a bad one?


The yo yo plays amazingly, but I still feel kind of let down. I wanted a bright green throw like in the pictures. If I knew it was going to look like this I might just have bought a solid color green one, cause I like them better than what I have. Or I could have waited for a different color way.

What if anything can I do about this?

You should email Brett over at HighSpeedYoYos. Tell him exactly what you said here and let him help you out further. I can understand your disappointment because I like bright colors on my throws too. But please email him. Brett is a great guy, I'm sure he can do something for you.

So, you saw some in person that looked like the top ones? Mine looks nothing like it. I did contact HSYY, Just thought I would get some opinions from some people here.

Anodizing doesn't come out the exact same way every time. In every run of yo-yos, there will inevitably be some variation in the acid washes and splashes. Some will have more splash than others, and the acid washes can be pretty random as well.

Nowadays product pictures are often boosted in the colour channels.
This one may have been a little bit over the top though. But I guess HSYY will sort this out for you.

I hope Brett at High Speed does not give me a lame answer like this. Of course different runs of anodizing will look different. The point here is they advertised the yo yo looking one way and it looks completely different. This is not the way I wanted my first high end yo yo purchase to go.

Not sure how they look in comparison to the HSYY pic, but they looked great and they don't look like your picture either.

I can't believe his response. His light box may change color slightly but this is not what happened here. His title says videograper, he should be able to tell if the picture he takes looks like the item he is taking a picture of. I'm very upset, I hope someone from One Drop steps in and helps me out. I had heard good things about this company. These yo yo's are only sold a few places, so I would think that One Drop wouldn't want someone selling there yo yo's and decieving people about what they look like.

I am One Drop. What would you like done? The yoyo looks great in person and it's only available at one store - HSYY. Do you want your money back? Again, I thought those looked amazing in person. I can understand that maybe they look a bit different than your expectation, but look at it and you'll see it's an awesome looking and playing yoyo.

The Code 2 is an amazing playing yo yo. I contemplated which color I would buy for a few days. This was going to be my first high end yo yo purchase and I wanted to go with a company I had heard great things about. At first I wanted a solid green one, but then I saw the one at highspeed and I loved the vibrant green. When I got my yo I could believe how it looked nothing like the one on his site. Yes I would like my money back and a then I will buy the solid green one. I swear mine looks exactly like the pictures I took and not like the pictures on the high speed site.

I personally assembled that run and to me they look much more like Brett's photo than yours. I thought they looked fantastic.

At first Brett did not offer me a refund, now he has. Not sure if I will send it to him or directly to one drop. I would like da5id to see my yo yo since he said he personally assembeled them.

Please deal directly with Brett. There is no need for me to see it. I think they all looked great and very similar to Brett's photo. They do not look like your photo. No one is trying to trick you. If you don't like the yoyo, that's fine you will get your money back.

I do not just offer refunds before I know whats going on, One Drop has nothing to do with this. If you want a refund you deal with me, I am the one who sold it.

I have been running that store for 2 years, and never once have I had to offer a refund.

Also in the FAQ you will see this..

Returns: most of the products stocked at highspeedyoyo are limited in nature. We offer returns if there is a manufacturing defect, we can not offer returns if you decide you dont like the color or appearance since these are subjective. We can however offer an exchange for something else in the store. Buyer will be responsible for shipping costs back to us, and any other price difference.
