 Favorite SE Combinations?
I'm very soon going to be buying either a Code 1, or a DANG. I was just wondering what everyone's favorite side effects were on each of the two so I can decide which to get with the yoyo. Thanks.

 Re: Favorite SE Combinations?
I like the Ultralights and aluminum spikes in the Dang. For the CODE1 I like quite an array of SEs - the CODE1s, the aluminum spikes, the brass spikes (especially for 5a), and the RSMs.

 Re: Favorite SE Combinations?
"Brass ultralite" is sort of an oxymoron.
I use aluminum ultralites in my CODE1s, and aluminum spikes in my Dangs. I try to get the anodized ones, because that's sexy.

Thanks everyone! I'm pretty sure I'm going to pick up a DANG and some aluminum spikes.

 Re: Favorite SE Combinations?
It began with the forging of the great rings (Side Effects). Three were given to the elves, immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings. Seven to the Dwarf Lords, great miners and craftsmen of the mountain halls. And nine, nine rings (Side Effects) were gifted to the race of men, who above all else desired power. For within these rings (Side Effects) was bound the strength and will to govern each race, but they were all of them deceived for another ring (Side Effect) was made. In the land of Mordor (Eugene), in the fires of Mount Doom (a CAD machine), the dark Lord Sauron (David and Shawn) forged in secret a master ring (Side Effect), to control all others and into this ring (Side Effect), he (they) poured his (their) cruelty (win), his (their) malice (awesomeness), and his (their) will to dominate all life (yoyos). One ring (Side Effect set) to rule them all.
That Side Effect, folks, is the Aluminum Ultra-Light. It is surely the bestest of bunch.

Haha. Nice. Now it's down to A Code 1 and UL's, or a DANG and spikes. I'm thinkin' blue DANG and orange spikes.

Any particular reason you advise the Code 1 over the DANG?

 Re: Favorite SE Combinations?
Ummm.... I think, and please advise that this is only my opinion, that the CODE 1 feels smoother and "bigger" than the DANG; The DANG feels too small for such a big throw. It is by no means bad to feel small, but not my favorite in a larger throw... I hope that made some sense......

I still love the DANG, though. If at all possible, get both!

 Re: Favorite SE Combinations?
It's all about Aluminum Spikes or Ultralites for me regardless of which SE yoyo thusfar. We shall see how I feel about that though whenever I pick up a code 2. It might be ultralites only for that bad boy.

 Re: Favorite SE Combinations?
I see exactly what you mean by it feeling smaller. Actually, thats kinda what I want. I want something with that feeling of just tossin' around. Dang it is.

 Re: Favorite SE Combinations?
Oh... in that case, go with the DANG. It's really a great throw. I guess it's just personal preference
