Re: Falleven series
New video up. I'd like to have 11 posted by the end of the season. At this rate, that shouldn't be too hard.

Re: Falleven series
Quick answer: short strings and a light yo-yo.
Meaningful answer: My first year of yo-yoing, I really only knew a few simple tricks. Kwyjibo and Green Triangle were kind of it for a really long time. And I figured out boings early on too, but didn't do them a lot. I did variations of the same simple trapezes and triangles for almost a full year before I learned Wrist mount. Then I actually made a few Writs mount tricks of my own--three to be exact--and I did them religiously.
So I guess it's my lack of skill in the beginning that led to me doing everything faster. Because when you don't learn new moves, all you can do is get faster, right? Now slower moves feel unnatural to me, which means I miss out on a lot of flowy stuff that's just beautiful to watch. Another thing I miss out on is points, because I screw up a lot.
Thanks for the warm welcome though Zammy! I'm really excited to call One Drop a home of sorts, and I hope we can get together sometime soon. PNWR's gonna be a blast.

Re: Falleven series
i dont think i have actually "seen" one of cliftons tricks but i know they happen, in as much as i know the wind is there cause i can feel it. and if your standing there, the string sounds like he is putting on and taking off rubber gloves really fast. snapping and popping. its been like that since i met him 5 years ago.
clifton is also doing tons of cool stuff outside of yoyoing, but he is so busy doing it that he cant get around to bragging about how fresh he is. thats how fresh he is.
when shawn asked me to be on the team i shot off a short list of people who deserve it way more than me, and clifton was on it. i felt bad joining up first, but they told me it would prolly happen soon. so i just had to keep that secret for a few weeks.
the 1Drop Portland team feels really good to be with and im glad yoyoing in pdx is fun again.

Re: Falleven series
This one was filmed weeks ago, but I didn't get around to editing and uploading it until last night.
And since today's the first day of winter, I guess I can't technically film any more with this title. So that might be it for the series.
