Well, when I picked up yoyoing again I frequented the shop a lot, really just to hang out and play with all of the shiny yoyos. Then Shawn and David asked if they should keep me in mind for some jobs they may need help with in the future. I told them sure...but I didn't think that meant washing cars, vacuuming their houses, and walking dogs...

Eventualy they needed the help and asked if I was available, I told them yes and now I get make yoyos!
I'm being completely honest when I say that it is the best feeling knowing that the stuff I make makes people happy.

If you had to give up one of the following which would it be?

1. Chocolate
B. Garlic

hmmmmmm, garlic makes everything taste so good, and i've never been gaga for chocolate soooooo i guess it would have to be chocolate

I used final cut pro

well we all usually arrive around 10 in the morning and ge the machines warmed up. while i wait for that, im in the office working with david on either box prep, yoyo assembly, or side effects assembly...or we go get our morning coffee

when the machines are all fired up and ready to go, i am most likely doing the OP2s (operation 2 or second operation) of whatever yoyo we are currently working. one of our other machines does all the OP1s which is cutting the majority of the yoyo half (the OP1) leaving only the guts (bearing seat and post or just bearing seat if SE yoyo) to be machined on another lathe (the OP2).

While the machine is doing the OP2 for our yoyos, i have time to check our other lathe to measure the bearing post on our SEs to make sure they come out at just the right size for you all to have a nice smooth OD .
I do this till about 1:30 or 2:00 then we go have lunch! when we get back its rinse and repeat!
all in all its a great job and i love being able to make stuff that everyone enjoys! its very satisfying

hanging out and doing all this stuff in OneDrop all day. what a cool job! I wish I was you

it's not the casccade, is it? so something newer than?
