 Re: VOTE!!!!
Jrodriguez's design is the obvious choice for me. I was also a little unsure because of the 56mm diameter, as I really think that One Drop does the 50mm so well. Recently, however, I've been playing with my CODE1 more often again and while it's not my favorite size by any means, it adds a fresh feel to some tricks that the 50mm can miss because of its small size. Larger is nice to learn on and work on speed with because it is easier to predict and for me, plays a little slower.
I do really want to get a V-shaped OD because something that resembles a yyr with the added side effects to tune the center mass would be very nice.
Best of luck to the contestants, all the designs are really amazing!

 Re: VOTE!!!!
Wow, I thought Clifton would have this thing in the bag because his presentation is so fantastic and his yoyo looks phenomenal.

 Re: VOTE!!!!
I do not think that enough people are voting with consideration to the existing OD product-line. What is the use of making another 56.0 mm yoyo that looks just like the ones already - or nearly out in the marketplace?
No offense to the leader(s) - but one of the things that made the Code 1 so special; was that it was unlike anything OD had at the time. It filled-in a part of the product-line not already covered by existing OD products. I would rather see a Code that adds something new to the product-line rather than embellishes it.

I agree with this. Unfortunately (or fortunately), this is how community polling works. It's not always black and white and it rarely goes as expected. It's unpredictable often times, but I suppose that is the fun of it. However, in jrod's defense, I think that it does expand upon the current line because as he mentioned, there aren't many wide OD yo-yos, and there likely won't be many to come. This is a good opportunity to make that happen.

All of the designs appear worthy of winning this competition on their own merits.

The two widest currently available OD yoyos are the CODE1 at 42mm and the Dietz at 41.5mm - Clint's yoyo will also be 42mm. A 44mm wide yoyo from One Drop would have pretty wide appeal , I think - beyond it just being something I'd like to own. People are really digging side effect, and for good reason, and though there are a couple of other yoyos out there in this size range, none of them have the customizability this would have, or the quality feel I associate with OD stuff. Also, as far as I know, there isn't a yoyo in this size with a proper IRG - not that an IRG is the end all be all, but I think it's a nice touch to be able to thumb grind without having to tilt the yoyo. And I absolutely agree, yoyoGeezer - there's a lot of awesome designs here to choose from.

And I absolutely agree, yoyoGeezer - there's a lot of awesome designs here to choose from. 100% agreed. I'm not even a fan of wide yoyos, but I do think it'll be a great thing for One Drop to produce. The CODE1, Dietz, Dang, and Armstrong are clearly all competition yoyos, but your CODE2 design is adding something wholly new to One Drop's line as far as specs are concerned. The IRG issue is a good one, too. I rarely buy yoyos without IRGs because really enjoy having them. I only have a couple short combos that incorporate thumb grinds, but having the option is very important for me. A large, wide, aggressively angled yoyo with an IRG isn't a common thing. Add Side Effects and One Drop quality to that and you've got a 100% guaranteed recipe for success. With that being said, the voting isn't done yet! Like Vendetta said, these things are VERY unpredictable!

 Re: VOTE!!!!
I too love the idea of a V shaped throw with an IRG. Although many people do not buy or have access to Japanese throws due to $$ or availability I recomend the yoyojoker strider it is 52 diam 43 width and has an IRG!!!!!! Great yoyo!!! But yes it is quite expensive and I am sure if One Drop made one similair (Chris's throw) or more like Jrod's (A big and wide V) it would be better!! I have no doubt in my mind that if One Drop decided to compete with YYR and TP and YYJ they would make better playing and better priced throws!!!! Thats how much One Drop rocks. Well at least in my book!!!
