Dude, I am so digging the heck out of this design. I think it's super awesome that you aren't going with mega rimweight like most others, because in my opinion, fullsized yos are far more stable with more weight in the middle (Genesis, Supernova, Severe, etc.)

Thanks! That was exactly my thought behind it too! I think it's a really good balance between spintimes and overall momentum. I took my inspiration of the idea from the Blink/E=mc^2, they have a similar faux rim like the severe, but with more rim/middle weight.

You'd probably appreciate this idea too after being a former mustache owner!

I'm diggin' the 'Stache. haha. It's definitely a design that shows personality. The final version you posted pics of is pretty legit... I do like the softer curves of the second revision you did. But that's just one man's preference. This yoyo would surely be a chick magnet, because everyone knows that chicks dig 'staches.

In summary:
I'm really diggin' the yoyo
I'm loving your 'stache
Mustaches and yoyos are like chocolate and peanutbutter

I feel compelled to share a picture of my mustache. May it bring you inspiration and joy.

Thanks man! I feel like they'd be a good pair haha.

But wow that's a great mustache! You must be proud. I think that mustache thread should get started after this....

Here's an older one of mine! Still looks like this though:

This is by far explained the best, I love the originality, if I would change anything, I feel like with this shape I would want to be getting up to 66 grams at least.

Okay everybody, It's getting down to the nitty gritty! I've revised my design with some little tweaks and studied some other yoyo designs with this style of weighting in mind and have decided.... the weight shall be increased.
* crowd roars with appluase, chants: "Stache for Prez!" *

The base weight (Halves, bearing, string) will be 62 grams. I'll be changing the SE's to brass and have them weigh in around 3.~ grams. So with any luck this design will settle in right around 65-66 grams!

These new changes will surely add into the areas of spin-times and comfort.

With this I would like to remind everyone of my mission statement and why I would like to be chosen by the community to have this yoyo designed.

I wanted to not only design a yoyo that contained elements of a competition worthy yoyo and a yoyo that was just fun to throw around, I wanted to introduce a new idea to keep pushing innovation of shape and weight placement in yoyo designs. A few center-weighted designs have been made and many, many rim-weighted designs have been made, and so I decided to try and achieve the best of both worlds by designing a yoyo with mostly center weight and a touch of rim weight to give the large diameter some of it's momentum back. With David and Shawns help and expertise, I believe this yoyo would be realized in it's fullest and greatest form.

With some final adjustments I have achieved this goal and with your help, you can get to see this yoyo idea come to fruition, wielding a beautiful moustache for you to admire and place on your face!

So don't vote for me because you think it'd be cool, don't vote for me because It'd be cute, vote for me to get a Moustache themed yoyo.

Picture time!

File comment: Here you can see where I smoothed out the transition between the step and the inner wall, this means more comfort and a better looking yoyo overall.

Well thanks for reading this everyone! I'd like to say thank you to everyone who chipped in suggestions and helped me to steer this yoyo to it's mostly finalized form. I'm still taking comments and suggestions, so if you have something you want to say about the design then say it! I hope this post has been entertaining, enlightening, and enjoyable.

Thanks again!

Don't hate me, but I liked the previous rendition more. I think I prefer the rim transition on that one because it looks more substantial when compared to this one.

Either way, I think yours might be the most unique, and an H-Shape might be cool since it's something OD has done yet.

Haha thanks guys, no hating here! I still have that rendition saved so all is not lost, I wasn't sure if people would like the edges on the old rendition so I smoothed it down to one line with a curve. Good to know!

Thanks for the feedback. :D
