I didn't have a hard case to put it in so I didn't bring it. I wish I would have now though... I had a Lanikai spruce top but sold it because I didn't like the tone at all and so I never played it. I also had a LU-21T that I gave to my friend to teach him. Do you have any pictures posted of your projects? I think that is so cool! NICE! I've heard good things about those... such an awesome instrument! No pics of my projects... I dunno why! Maybe because I'm still a total noob at luthiery. I'm doing everything by hand, as we live in a small place in Chicago. My "workshop" looks suspiciously similar to a dining room table. john Hahaha that is too funny! Take some pictures when you get the chance. I LOVE the uke! Also, have you had the chance to play any natural koa ukes? They sound SO much better than press wood. Difference between night and day...

Same with the tenor uke I'm buildng - I've got some awesome master grade koa with a figure that will knock your socks off... assuming I don't screw it up. I also have a 1928 Martin 0-18K guitar, made out of Koa - super small bodied guitar, originally meant for Hawaiian slide, but has since been fretted and strung up with nylon strings... it's my favorite "thing". Mmmm.... instruments........

I would say flying, but that's kinda my job now and I've been blabbing to the whole world about that one. But, another hobby that I wish I could do more often if I had the time and/or more creativity is painting. If I had the materials and space to do it I would also do more 3D stuff, specifically with clay.

New project for the summer, growing peppers . Starting about 80 seeds in the peat pods here, 4 different peppers including Chocolate Habaneros, Black Jalapenos, Hungarian Hot Wax Peppers, and an unknown chili pepper. I'll update with more pics as they come along.

Signs of life in the pepper seeds! One of the slim red peppers here. So I thought I would need 2 of these seed starters but only used 1 so I let my wife get seeds fo the other one. She picked out parsley, lavender, basil, and cilantro. Here is the basil after about 4 days..... .

I normally wouldn't consider this to be a hobby of sorts, but I do like to play an excessive amount of backgammon in my free time.

Re: Other Hobbies Most On Here Dont Know Your In To
Might not necessarily be a hobby, but I seem have inadvertently started getting into the collection of Baoding Balls. Bought a set from Barnes and Noble those chipped and ended up getting 2 more sets... and I find myself wanting more.
Now whenever I'm studying or doing anything that doesn't require my hands I'm always spinning them in my hands. As a matter of fact as I browse the forums right now between posting I'm spinning them.

Jason those aquariums are awesome!
I have an amateur radio license, it's a really interesting hobby. Don't have a radio of my own yet though-gotta wait until Christmas. I also love singing in choir and writing short stories. One was published this summer! Looking through my telescope is fun too. I'm interested in lots of stuff.
