I don't think the mods have the ability to hand out bannings, only the admins.
What browser do you usually use? Chrome?

Opera usually compresses the websites you visit before they reach you, this could be the reason why you can log in through opera. Have you tried to clear your cookies and cache from your other browser? You can do individual websites if you don't want to nuke all of them.

There is no "Melford" in the ban log, so I believe it's a glitch. What does your "ban message" say? Usually when someone is banned, we type in a reason and that is what displayed. So if it's a glitch (since you're not in the log, I'm almost certain there is) there won't be any sort of personalized message there.
Sorry you guys aren't happy with YYN as of late. If you'd like to cite reasons and give suggestions about forum improvement, you know we're always very receptive.
For future reference, I know I'm usually on YYN daily, as is Vegabomb, so there will be within-the-day reply from either of us.
