Post Side Effects (tm)
Side Effects is our brand new axle system that allows for swapping out the hub. It is designed to be easy to swap while maintaining perfect centering so that the yo-yo is always smooth. The first yo-yo to use this system is the 54. This will become our standard axle system on most future yo-yos that we release.

Swapping out the hub allows for changes in looks, weight and function and we will be releasing lots of different options.

To figure out how much a yo-yo weighs with a particular Side Effect you will need the "Base Weight" of the yo-yo + the weight of the Side Effect.

How to care and maintain your Side Effect yoyo:

Currently available Side Effects:

Side Effect Design: Mass
Aluminum Ultra Light: 2.5 grams
Aluminum Lego: 2.7 grams
Aluminum Dome: 2.9 grams

7075 aluminum disks should be available in a week or two. Expect a "rotating side member" version in about a month.

not so much, but "side effects" more than makes up for it. :D

i promise, and ask my girlfriend, all weekend, i've been carrying around the 54, swapping out the side effects, and alternately throwing the thing/staring at it, going, "this is so COOL!"

Better than calling it the "rotating unit".

"Hey baby, want to see me totally rock the rotating unit?" Yeah, that will get you slapped, either by a hand or with a harassment suit.
