Man, do I wish I could make it out for the contest. I would love to be able to compete there one last time. But after the threatening e-mail I got the other day, which I think came from one of the gang bangers who robbed me in October, I don't know if I am going to be visiting Seattle until I know that those two punks are dead or in jail. It SUCKS.

I'd go to the cops about it. But after the lack of action on behalf the Seattle PD when I first got robbed, or after my roommate got robbed a few days later, I seriously doubt that they will do anything now. They're too busy harassing the homeless and handing out parking tickets to do anything about real crime. I'd be better off taking the law into my own hands, to be honest.

I'm not holding out on the possibility of going though. I just need to make sure that I have a couple of friends with concealed weapon permits nearby, just in case I bump into those two lowlifes again. I'm not willing to get caught up in a similar situation again. NO THANK YOU.

They stole a box of FAST 201s. But they didn't get any of my valuable yo-yos.

It's a long story. A long time friend came over to visit one day, and brought a couple of shady looking dudes I had never met before. They came by later that night to rob me at gunpoint, and jacked me for my camera, New Era caps, yo-yos, iPod, some DVDs. They could've gotten me for so much more, but they were in a hurry for some reason.

Worst of all, it was my friend of eight years who set me up to get robbed by these guys. He denies it, of course. But his actions in the time since have only told me that he had a hand in it.

Thanks. I wish I was gonna be out there. So many big name players will be in town for the contest. Now, with this hand injury of mine, it doesn't even look like I will be able to make out for MA States either.

And I know we've had our differences over on YYN. But I think all of that stuff can be completely forgotten when out mutual appreciation for yo-yoing is the main thing on our minds. 8-)

Man I hate to hear that happened to you, something similar happened to me last week, around 2:00 am some one tried to kick down our front door. After they heard the 12 gauge slide they ran off, but I live in the suburbs across the street from a cop. I guess it's a sign of the times, but I fully intend to make use of castle's law when the time comes. Sad sad times we are living in.

Not to change the subject, but if you have a concealed permit, the whole state is your castle, LOL!! (within legal limits of course.)

Unfortunately, I can't have license to carry. An arrest in 2000 prevents me from being able to legally own a handgun. Or at least I can't get one until I get my arrest record expunged.

But shotguns and rifles are legal for home protection at least. If anyone decides they want to try and rob my home again, I'm gonna make sure that they have a nice sized hole where their chest used to be.

I despise thieves with a passion. They have only seemed to become more prevalent as the economy has gotten worse, and unfortunately, the criminal justice system doesn't punish them enough to motivate them not to steal. So since the cops, judges and juries don't want to do anything to fix the problem, it's up to the citizens to protect what's theirs.
