Come to find out, NASA has been breeding ‘Space Flowers” using the lotus, and is even designing ship interiors with the same anti dust/stick properties as the Lotus leaf. Is it a stretch? Sure, but there is more. In certain cultures, the Lotus represents purity of the body, speech, and a higher state of mind. When you look at the Lotus in its native environment, the water flower sits on pad as if the bulb floating over the muddy river waters of life. The Lotus represents a higher state of being, kind of like Astronauts high fiving in zero gravity.
