Yes, I realize that the BPZL is not One Drop, I just included it for the machine usage comparison. We'll see how many new designs are machined during the year and I'll look forward to every single one. Maybe we'll see more sequels.

Like the Project 3.

No sequels please. Sequels end up causing drama due to their inevitable comparisons their namesake.

I would love to see them continue on the path they have set for themselves... making killer original designs, learning from their past while rocking the present and future yo-yo scene.

I'm curious about the usual time between a release and then the special colorways. I can't wait to see a thunderstorm burnside or an alien green one or some of the other famous ones on the Burnside. Even a Nickel one. But that usually is one of the last to be released. How does One Drop decide when it is time to start doing the special colorways.

Ain't that the truth! Here's a One Drop Production and Release calendar from earlier this year! :D

I absolutely adore how your calendar has that crafty pen and paper look - extra props for the multiple ink colors! Was it actually done with one of those "Bic" pens? It has a very original, vintage, 90's-retro chic - like before GoogleCal (ugh, I'm aging myself here). Did you make it yourself or buy it from somewhere? There's this super fab boutique on Valencia and 22nd that I can sooooo see carrying something like this. I used to go there a lot before it became popular, but now it's just overrun with wannabe fake hipsters. If you came up with the idea yourself, maybe you can have them commission your own line! I myself am also for the anti-digital revolution. I'm a huge follower, and am starting a commentary blog about it - I'll send over the Tumblr URL once I'm done with the final layout/design finishing touches (CSS 2.1 can be such a pain sometimes). In the meantime you can follow me on Twitter - @antibitsrevolutionist. Glad to see other activists on here!

PS: Just in case - j/k. I actually like both pen and paper and bits and bytes, and even prefer fountain pens. ;)

I love fountain pens. I absolutely love my Wahl Eversharp Skyline.

The only fountain pen I use is the Skyline, then I use nib holders for every other occasion. I just broke my wooden one by accident, so i'll have to turn another one soon.

Hey fountain pen lovers - to prevent mass thread hijacking, I've created a fountain pen thread. You can post your fountain pen photos/stories there - I'd love to see/hear them!

Currently I use a Lamy 2000 pretty much exclusively, and a Lamy Safari for emergencies.

@jrodriguez: Cool to know that there's another Lamy 2000 user here!

No release date of the Code 2. I for one can not wait to see the different colorways of the Burnside!

Any more information on the Smile Train Dietz? Is it just a colorway, or will it benefit the charity in some manner?

Yes, Smile Train is a charity that Daniel has earned $40,000 for. We intend to make $1000 from the Smile Train Dietz.

That doesn't come off as sounding quite right. Mayhaps you meant to say that One Drop intends to generate $1000 proceeds for the Smile Train charity by selling Smile Train Dietz yoyos?

Well corrected sir. We will be donating $1000 to the Smile Train from the sale of this run. The average cleft palette surgery costs $250 so this should cover 4 surgeries.
