Does that mean you won't be designating the Dingo as the D1...Dogs for Everyone? That makes Torin the Dog very sad and worried...

So yes, the Sovereign is made out of titanium. It's looking to have about a 50mm diameter and will weight in the 64-65 gram range. Large bearing and flow groove response.

It is intended to be a great playing yo-yo and titanium allows for some really cool weight distributions.

So this new Sovereign is a yoyo aimed at making the throwers purposely ding it on the ground?

Thanks, but to be honest I don't like it much.
I am thinking of selling or trading it. :(

Consider this an anecdote, but from what i've seen from the one time I've seen someone spark one, there was less damage on the sovereign than I would have expected on an aluminum yo. Yes it will be damaged by sparking, but the sparks are *much* larger looking than the metal removed.

With that being said, void yer warranties, blah blah, etc., don't do this at home kids.

In a word, yes :)

Sparks == material being removed == messing it up. Now, it should be less than aluminum, but kids *don't do this at home :D*

Sorry Jeremy, but I have to disagree here. Sparking isn't really a big deal. It DOES remove material, but very little. The only damage I noticed afterwards was small hairline scratches along the rim. You can't really even feel them. However, I also have 2-3 dings, but those are from dropping it. :o

Anywho, it's a yoyo. You won't ruin the yoyo by lightly touching it to the ground and watching the fireworks. ;)

someone should post a picture of what the damage from sparking is.

do these have any kind of finish or are they raw? im guessing they have to be raw to spark, right?

So, you make a yoyo out of titanium, then you purposely make it hit concrete?
Where are we going with yoyos now?

It's a TWO in ONE yoyo! Do you love to yoyo all the time, but your depressed because it doesn't make sparks?!? Well, now you can do both! WIth OD's new Sovereign, all you have to do is have pavement and an attitude for destruction!
*pavement and skill not included*

You sharpen the titanium edges and turn them into weapons of mass destruction, as displayed in the attached historical photograph documenting the fabled Tiki-Yo wars?Image
