 Re: Side Effects (tm)
The SE list could be updated with the Mini Disks and also the Ricestack RSMs.

When can we expect to see a restock of Rotating Side Members? Do you have a spare set collecting dust? Help a guy out.

My previous post has been edited and corrected due to an angry grammar bird, I guess that is what happens when you beat him to the punch. .

A part of my soul just died... Is this due to lack of demand? Can't be. Cost too high? I'll pony up. Was there something wrong with the quality that was out of your control to fix? I wish I would have picked up a set of rice side members when I had the chance but I held off because I heard you guys had got his fancy new machine dedicated to making side effects, so I thought I'd be seeing all sorts of restocks. Are you trying to keep them limited? This is one set of side effects that everyone should have access to. Could you possibly make a side effect/cap similar to the caps on the YoyoJam Theory? A concave disk side effect that you can balance on your fingernail? What ever happened to the LED side effects? There are so many possibilities for awesome side effects.

They are difficult to make, didn't sell that well and are just too heavy. We have to prioritize our time and RSMs just fall too low on this because of all the drawbacks. LEDs are on the list but also far down it. We will have to invest in a custom circuit board which will take a lot of time for research and also a lot of cost. We'd like to do them, but there are other cool things we are focusing our time on.

 Re: Side Effects (tm)
So, I'm noticing the side effect yoyos I've bought lately have all come with gray anodized SEs. What made you guys decide to start doing that?

We have been anodizing Side Effects for most of the time. In the beginning we did raw, but anodizing makes them last longer. We had to solve accuracy issues with anodizing which we eventually did. Gray and black are both neutral so those are the default colors because they can go in any yoyo.

Cool that's what I figured. Took me a while to notice because I don't buy throws too often.

 Re: Side Effects (tm)
[sarcasm] Heck, why redesign RSMs to be lighter and also easier to make when you can just scrap the idea all together, am I right? Nobody likes hubstacks anyways.
There's just too many unique side effects flooding the market right now so there's no demand. It's not like side-effect-enabled yoyos have been out for over two years or anything. There's hardly any yo-yos that use side effects to make it worthwhile... [/sarcasm] *facepalm*
Come on guys, I've been waiting a long time for really unique side effects. Take a little break from designing new throws and focus on side effects for a while.

 Re: Side Effects (tm)
If you regard them as a means by which you can achieve several unique feeling and playing yoyos out of one yoyo and for minimal cost, it seems to me there's already a super selection of Side Effects. A few weeks ago, I really could have used the cork screw SEs, but those are way hard to find. Also, I noticed the other day I have like seven pairs of gray Ultra Lights. How did this happen?
